Why have pre-paid legal insurance, I never get in legal trouble? What even is pre-paid legal insurance, I don’t understand the big deal?

It is common to ask these questions and feel this way. However, the need for legal insurance is extremely important for financial stability and the financial stability of your loved ones. The same way you wouldn’t drive your car without insurance or go to the doctor’s office without an insurance provider, you should not go through life without legal insurance.

Legal insurance is insurance from legal fees, most commonly incurred from lawyer or law firm fees, during the time of legal matters and proceedings. Now again, you may believe you will never find yourself in a situation where you would have to go to court. Here are just a few reasons you may have never even thought of that will land you in court and paying the high price of your constitutional right of a legal defense:

1. You have a friend over, and they get injured on your property. They then decide to sue you.

2. Your child accidentally throws something through someone else’s window.

3. You accidentally back over your neighbor’s garbage can.

4. You are involved in an accident.

5. A repairman does poor work and doesn’t rectify it.

These were only a few of the hundreds of reasons leaving you in a legal situation. These situations can range from small to large and happen at any time. You may tell yourself you could afford it if one of these situations happened. But what if all five happened? How could you afford them all? The last thing you should have to worry about in stressful situations that involve legal matters is your financial situation.

Legal Insurance doesn’t just protect you when you need a defensive council. If you need to sue when you are the victim of injustice, you shouldn’t have to pay money to get compensated for what you should already have. If you receive personally injury from a situation and need to sue, you shouldn’t have to lose a large portion of your compensation to legal fees.

Another important concept to grasp is that you can’t just sign up for insurance when something bad happens. If you are driving down the road and get into an accident, you can’t just call up State Farm and get car insurance. You need to be prepared. It is the same way with legal insurance. You can’t simply sign up for legal insurance when you find yourself in a situation where you have to go to court. You need to be prepared to protect yourself from financial loss.

You never know when life is going to take a sour turn. If you are prepared for it, it won’t be hard to weather the storm. For your own financial stability and the stability of the loved ones you protect, legal insurance needs to be a priority for you. Once it is set up, you never have to think about it again. You will be protected, and you’ll have one of the most undervalued things in life, peace of mind.
